Installation

From Chrome Web Store (Recommended):

  1. Visit the NoosAI page on the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Click the "Add to Chrome" button.
  3. Confirm any permission requests (we need access to read selected text and display results on your current page).
  4. The NoosAI icon should appear in your browser toolbar (you might need to pin it).

Manual Installation (Advanced Users):

  1. Download the latest `.zip` file from our GitHub Releases page.
  2. Unzip the downloaded file into a dedicated folder on your computer.
  3. Open Chrome and navigate to `chrome://extensions/`.
  4. Enable "Developer mode" using the toggle in the top-right corner.
  5. Click the "Load unpacked" button.
  6. Select the folder where you unzipped the extension files.
  7. NoosAI should now be installed. Note: Manually installed extensions do not auto-update.

How to Use NoosAI

Using NoosAI is designed to be simple and intuitive:

  1. Trigger an Action: You can use NoosAI in three main ways:
    • Right-Click Menu: Highlight any text on a webpage, right-click, and choose an action from the "NoosAI" context menu (e.g., Explain, Simplify, Summarize, AI Search, etc.).
    • Popup for Page Actions: Click the NoosAI icon in your toolbar to open the popup. From here, you can summarize the entire current page with one click.
    • Popup for Custom Text: Paste any text directly into the popup's text area and choose an analysis action (e.g., Sentiment, Keywords, Translate).
  2. View Results: A panel will appear on your screen displaying the AI-generated results.

The Results Panel:

  • Can be moved around the screen by clicking and dragging its header bar.
  • Ask Follow-ups: Use the input bar at the bottom of the panel to ask clarifying questions or refine the result (e.g., "make this shorter").
  • Navigate History: Use the "Previous" and "Next" arrow buttons in the header to browse through your recent results from the current session.
  • Share & Export: Use the share button to send your results to Notion, draft an email, or copy the content.
  • Can be closed by clicking the 'X' icon or clicking anywhere outside the panel.

Personalizing Your AI (Options Page):

  • Right-click the NoosAI icon in your toolbar and select "Options" to open the settings page.
  • Custom Personas: Here you can create your own AI personas (e.g., "Academic Tutor," "Social Media Expert") by giving them a name and specific instructions. These will then appear in the "Analyze As:" dropdown in the popup.
  • Integrations: Enter your Notion API Key and Page ID to enable the "Send to Notion" feature.

Free vs. Premium & Upgrading

Free Plan:

  • Get **10 free AI actions every day**.
  • These actions can be used for **any feature**, including Summarize, Explain, AI Search, and more.
  • Your daily action count resets automatically every 24 hours.

Premium Plan (€4.99/month or save with Annual):

  • ✅ **Unlimited** AI Actions. Use all features as much as you need without any daily limits.
  • ⚡️ **Priority Processing** for your requests.
  • 🏆 **Priority Email Support**.

How to Upgrade:

  1. Click the "Upgrade to Premium" button in the extension popup or visit our pricing section on noosai.co.uk.
  2. You will be redirected to our secure payment processor (Stripe) to complete your subscription purchase.
  3. After successful payment, you will receive an email containing your unique **License Key**.
  4. Open the NoosAI extension popup by clicking its icon in your toolbar.
  5. Paste your received License Key into the "Enter License Key" field.
  6. Click the "Verify Key" button.
  7. Once verified, the popup will update to "Premium Tier," and all features will be unlocked!

Managing Your Subscription

You can easily manage your NoosAI Premium subscription (e.g., update payment methods, view invoices, or cancel your subscription) through our secure payment processor, Stripe.

Access the Stripe customer portal via the "Manage Subscription" links found in the support section and the footer of our website, or in the Thank You page after purchase.

If you cancel, your premium access will continue until the end of your current paid billing period.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

Q: How do the 10 free daily actions work?
A: Every day, you get 10 credits to use on any AI action—summarizing, explaining, searching, etc. The counter resets automatically every 24 hours. This allows you to use the full power of Noos.AI for free, every day.

Q: The results panel shows an error like "Payment Required" or "Free daily limit reached".
A: This means you have used your 10 free actions for the day. Your access will be restored automatically when the counter resets. To continue using the features without limits, please consider upgrading to Premium.

Q: The context menu doesn't show NoosAI options.
A: Ensure the extension is enabled (check the popup toggle). Try reloading the webpage. If it persists, try restarting Chrome or reinstalling the extension (note: reinstalling may reset your free count/premium status if not saved properly - contact support if you lose premium status after reinstalling).

Q: The "Send to Notion" feature shows an error.
A: Please go to the extension's Options page and ensure you have entered a valid Notion API Key and the ID of the page you want to send content to. Make sure the integration has been given permission to edit the target page within your Notion workspace.

Q: License key verification fails, but I paid.
A: Please double-check you copied the key correctly from your email (no extra spaces!). Wait a few minutes after purchase for the system to fully update. If it still fails, contact support with your purchase email address and the key you're trying.

Q: Page Summarization says "Could not read page content" or "Page has no readable text".
A: The page summarization currently extracts text from the main body. It may struggle with very complex layouts, single-page applications, or pages primarily consisting of images or dynamic content. We are working on improving content extraction.

Q: Can I use this on Firefox/Safari?
A: Currently, NoosAI is only available for Google Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers (like Microsoft Edge, Brave). We do not have versions for Firefox or Safari at this time.
